Dr Baba J Adamu has always been pro-active in Democracy and promoting International Trade and Democracy throughout the world. He participated in the Canada Trade Mission to Africa with Canadian Minister Pettigrew which was held on November 15 - 26, 2002. Johannesburg, South Africa, Lagos, Nigeria, Dakar, Senegal following the G-8 commitment towards Africa. Citizenship and Immigration Canada Minister Judy Sgro brought a message of encouragement and goodwill from the Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin at the fundraising party of The Nigerian Cultural Centre, a Three Million Dollar ($3,000,000) project designed to promote the interests of Nigerians in Canada. The Nigerian Cultural Centre will offer the following services: Chief Tola Adeniyi, the former Chairman of Daily Trust and currently the Chairman of Nigerian Canadian Chamber of Commerce was the chief launcher of the occasion. Other Toronto Community leaders include Prof Isa Odid, Dr Baba J Adamu, Dr Pius Simon, Dr Monday Gala and others..
